Senator James Sanders, Jr. to Host 'Women in Business' Symposium

 
Senator James Sanders Jr. (D-Rochdale Village, Far Rockaway) is inviting business owners, budding entrepreneurs and those who would like to explore economic development opportunities to join him for a “Women in Business” symposium in recognition of Women’s History Month.

The event will celebrate women making a difference in their communities, serve as an outlet to encourage women to start their own businesses, and allow attendees to meet and network with successful women and make valuable connections.

Business leaders will also provide resources and mentorship to small business owners and assist with financial management, marketing/advertising and employee management.

Panelists will include:

Andrea Ormeno - Director at the Queens Economic Development Corporation

Gina Vasquez LCSW - Founder and President of Flowers of Hope NY

Julia Blair - President of J&B Training School

Kimberly Peeler - Allen - Co-founder of Higher Heights

Sharon KhunKlun, Esq - Immigration Attorney
