Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton Primary Night Speech

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the presumptive 2016 Democratic presidential nominee, addressed supporters at a primary election watch event at Duggal Greenhouse in the Brooklyn Navy Yard after winning the New Jersey Democratic primary. Five other states also had primaries or caucuses that night. The previous night the Associated Press reported that she had secured enough delegates to win the Democratic nomination. She said a milestone had been reached in becoming the first woman to win a major party’s nomination, and thanked Senator Bernie Sanders for running an extraordinary campaign. She spoke about the influence her mother had on her life. She also criticized Republican presumptive presidential nominee Donald Trump, saying he “is temperamentally unfit to be president and commander-in-chief.”
